MRSA and Infection Control
The latest figures from the Health Protection Agency on infection rates in hospitals show that the reductions in MRSA and C.difficile cases over the past two years at Lewisham Hospital have continued and firmly places the Trust among the top performers in the country in infection control.
Lewisham Hospital has been certified as having one of the lowest rates of MRSA across London (read more). The Trust has also been successful in combating Clostridium Difficile; a recent report showed that Lewisham Hospital achieved the third lowest rate in the whole country for general hospitals.
